The following ambulances service Monroe Township, we encourage all residents to purchase an annual membership with the company that services the area where their home is located.

Penn State Health Life Lion, LLC at 717-763-2108 (Formerly Geisinger EMS) serves the bulk of the township east of Route 74 (York Road) and a portion of the south eastern part of the Township near the York County line.

Yellow Breeches EMS at 717-486-3833 serves south western part of the Township including the White Rock Acres and the Allenberry areas.

FUNCTIONAL NEEDS REGISTRY

Monroe Township has developed a Functional Needs Registry (FNR). The FNR is a confidential voluntary database which will assist township emergency management officials to obtain important Information on the foreseeable needs of residents living in the township for disaster planning purposes.

Some examples of functional needs may include:

-Mobility difficulties

-Intellectual or developmental disabilities

-Vision or hearing impairments

-Special medical equipment (oxygen, medication refrigeration, etc.)

-No transportation for evacuation

-No access to emergency information (television, radio, internet, etc.)

FNR information will only be accessed by the Monroe Township Emergency Management Coordinator and will ensure emergency and public safety personnel have the important necessary information during an emergency or disaster situation.
